Antoine Langeard, PhD, Université de Caen Normandie, France
Antoine Langeard is a tenured Professor in the Department of Sports Sciences and Physical Activity (STAPS) and at the COMETE laboratory (Inserm, Université de Caen Normandie). His research focuses on fall prevention in older adults, emphasizing interventions through diverse physical activities of various types and in diverse settings. He is dedicated to understanding the mechanisms linking physical activity to improved balance, gait, and cognitive function, contributing to healthier aging. Additionally, he seeks to identify and understand risk factors associated with falls and actively engages in participatory science initiatives.

 

 

Yael Netz, PhD, Levinsky-Wingate Academic College, Israel
Yael Netz is Professor of Gerontology at the Wingate College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences where she developed and instituted a program for physical activity in old age. Her areas of research are: Physical fitness and cognitive functioning in old age; the psychological effect of a single training session on the elderly; physical activity patterns among the elderly and other age groups in the population; physical activity and psychological variables in adult and old age. Prof. Netz is President of the European Group for Research into Aging and Physical Activity.
